Intruder Alarm Cable

Intruder alarm cable is designed for use with domestic and commercial security alarm systems such as burglar alarms, intercoms, and detector connections as well as other low voltage applications. The cable has a tubed sheath construction and incorporates a nylon rip cord and is manufactured according to BS4737 section 3.30 2015. This standard emphasizes clear labelling of cable type, resistance values, and the number of strands in the conductor to ensure quality compliance and prevent failures in security systems.

* 3 options available:

* TYPE 1 with tinned copper conductors / LSZH insulation / LSZH outer jacket (less than 100 ohm/km resistance)

* TYPE 2 with tinned copper conductors / PVC insulation / PVC outer jacket (less than 100 ohm/km resistance

* TYPE 3 with tinned copper alloy

conductors / PVC insulation / PVC outer jacket (less than 155 ohm/km resistance)

The cable construct

uses 7/0.2 tinned annealed copper conductors (Type 1 & 2) and 7/0.2 copper alloy (Type 3 commercial grade). Cores are PVC/LSZH insulated with multiple coloured cores twisted together. Cables can be unscreened or screened with aluminium polyester tape and copper drain wire in contact with tape screen. Types 1,2,3 can be readily identified by the coloured rip cords of green, red and yellow respectively.  Cable is then over sheathed with either PVC, LSF, LSZH or PE. (Armoured versions are also available).

Cable is available in a variety of core counts from 4,6,8,12,20,30.

Operating temperature is -15DegC  to +70DegC.  Minimum bend radius is 6 x O.D.

Cable jacket colour can be any colour (white is most popular) and customised jacket printing is optional.

Cable is REACH and RoHS compliant

Cable can be supplied to CPR class Cca, Dca and Eca.
